Doing My Best Max Fischer

Doing my best Max Fisher in the spirit of Christmas

I Like Your Nurse’s Uniform, Guy

When you glance in the mirror on your way out the door and realize you accidentally look like the main character in your favorite Wes Anderson movie, it’s going to be a good day. Truthfully, Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums are tied for my #1, but Rushmore came out first, so there’s that. There are a lot of awesome things going on in this outfit, so bear with me.

  1. These amazing vintage culottes. I discovered Sarah of Cameo Appearance Vintage on Instagram a few years ago. Not only does she have a discerning eye for epic vintage, but her styling is #onpoint. She posted these tartan culottes on her Instagram and I snatched them right up.
  2. This major Gucci vibes vintage handbag. I scored it from Vaux Vintage at a recent holiday market and practically said, “Oh my Gucci,” out loud. Sadly it’s no Gucci, but it’s almost identical to this iconic beauty.
  3. This little leopard scarf. I finally met Leigh (from the blog Pink Vintage Heart) IRL on one of her vintage crawls, and bought this darling scarf. Technically speaking, she bought it for me since I rarely carry cash. I still owe her a cocktail in return. <3

Berets are definitely coming back in style in a big way this season—although I kind of feel like I’m wearing a red chef’s hat when I put this on. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What do you think? Am I pulling the red beret off, or should I leave it to Max Fischer?

This is hands down the coolest look ever! And I, for one, think you and Max Fischer both pull off the red beret perfectly.

Probably the best line of the movie! Also, young Luke Wilson is dreamy!
