Hello my fronds! Most of y’all know I was in Denver earlier this month for a super quick wedding weekend trip. We didn’t have much time for shopping, but I visited some pretty killer stores and had to share them with you. In no particular order:
Queen City General Store
220 E 13th Ave, Denver, CO 80206
Visit their online store here.
I lied, this list is in a particular order—starting with my favorite store first. I might be biased because the owner of Queen City General Store is also one of my most dearly beloved buds, but Queen City is the best shop in Denver. I can’t leave this store empty handed.
Come here for: gifts & curiosities, men’s/women’s vintage clothing, cacti & succulents, authentic Native American-made turquoise jewelry.
Price Point: $-$$
Goldyn
2040 W 30th Ave, Denver, CO 80211
Visit their online store here.
We were running late to get ready for the wedding but I forced my husband to let me stop into Goldyn. And boy am I glad I did. Not only was the store merchandised to perfection, but the shop girls were super friendly and helpful. I found the most amaaaazing leather backpack there (by Building Block). Remember when I wrote about finding the perfect laptop bag? Well this backpack might actually have my previous one beat.
Come here for: indie and emerging designers, unique clothing, jewelry & accessories.
Price point: $$$
Meek
39 W. 11th Ave, Denver, CO 80204
Visit their online store here.
If I were to live forever inside any store, this would be the store. It’s light, airy, and filled with happy plant babies. This shop has a little bit of everything (even some adorable kids’ vintage!), so it’s likely to be a hit for all folks.
Come here for: vintage denim, succulents, homegoods.
Price Point: $-$$
Sacred Thistle
1110 Acoma St, Denver, CO 80204
Visit their online store here.
Right around the corner from Meek (above) is your witchy floral dream shop. I left with just a keychain (similar to the tan leather ones in the bowl in the first photo below), but I could have drained my whole bank account here. The owner of the store was wearing the same black leather backpack I bought at Goldyn! It all comes full circle.
Come here for: gifts & curiosities, exquisite unique jewelry, floral needs, home decor, crystals & gems.
Price Point: $-$$$
Goldmine Vintage
227 N Broadway Ste 102, Denver, CO 80203
Visit their website here.
This was the last store we went to and I only had about 15 minutes here total (rushing on our way to the wedding). Which is why I took almost zero photos. I was too busy grabbing everything to try on like a mad woman. They have a really great section of 70’s denim and pants that I wish I’d had more time to comb through. I tried on all the wrong sizes and left with only a vintage tee. All photos below (except the one of my dude) belong to Meg O’Neil.
Come here for: vintage and second hand clothing and accessories
Price Point: $-$$
That’s all folks! Have you been to Denver before? Any shopping gems I’m missing that I should add to this list?
