Hold the phone, if you haven’t read my first post on The Kit, hop over there before you read this post…
Okay good, please continue.
By now you know that I’m not really a fan of “fussy” clothing. Anything that requires too much maintenance while you are wearing it (re-adjusting hems, pulling at waistbands, fixing straps, etc) gets a hard pass from me. And it’s not that “fussy” clothing isn’t cute—it usually is—it’s that I won’t end up wearing it because I know how much constant upkeep it requires. And there’s nothing worse than a beautiful piece of clothing sitting untouched year after year in the back of your closet. Lord knows Marie Kondo would not approve.
Cue, The Kit. The un-fussiest clothing of all time. If I could describe The Kit’s collections in 1 word it would be “effortless.” And there is no higher praise in my book than looking effortlessly chic. You can tell instantly that whoever designed their pieces (dreamy Daniel Vosovic) not only knows women’s bodies, he knows their closets. He knows what’s missing, and what’s not. And that my friends, is rare.
I mentioned in my previous post that The Kit creates season-less collections—wardrobe essentials that can be worn together or broken up and worn as separates. What I didn’t dig into is The Kit is also a company that works to lessen the impact of their products on our planet. The brand was founded on a mission to create designer pieces, at an affordable price point, under a sustainable production model. Too good to be true? Nope. From raw materials, to printing techniques, to waste management, The Kit strives to become a zero waste company. Read more about their ethical mission here.
