One of my favorite trends to come out of the last few years is pajama dressing. Nothing says effortless cool like literally wearing your pajamas out on the town. A printed slip can easily double as a layered dress. Just add a turtleneck or graphic tee underneath for some extra coverage (check out this one by Social Decay—it’s ridiculously soft). Balance out the femininity with a leather jacket and some embellished booties, and you’re ready to rock. You can also see this nighty styled another way: check out this blog post here.
If you’re skeptical of the pajama dressing trend, start with one piece, rather than a matching set. Try a printed pajama blouse with jeans (I find that prints look less pajama-like than solids). Or throw a silky kimono robe over a black dress. You can even jump on the slipper trend (aka the blogger shoe MVP of 2016) to ease into pajama dressing feet first. Ermahgerd see what I did there? But whatever you do, don’t rock those itty bitty pajama booty shorts out of the house.

Styling tip: thread a twisted scarf through the loops on your purse for a longer handle. It’s a super easy way to achieve an updated twist on a tired bag. Oh god there I go again. I’m done now, I swear.

February 6, 2017 at 9:27 pmI don’t know if I love mixing so many prints but I’m definitely down with trying this out. Especially a matching set with a leather jacket. Love how you pulled it off!

February 9, 2017 at 4:06 amMore and more you remind me of Madonna back in her ’80s heyday. I just love your funky style! And that tip about extending a purse strap is tops. I’ve never thought to do that. D’oh!
