Happy Friday lovers!
I’ve noticed a few new faces over on social media (hiiiii 👋), so please allow me to re-introduce myself. My name is Abby, and as of this very moment I’ve been blogging for a little over a year. I live in New York City (North Brooklyn, proper) with my handsome huzb and our little tuxedo kitty. I was born and raised in the Bay Area but moved to NYC almost 10 years ago. I blog mostly about my personal style—cataloguing outfits that I really wear and talking about why and how I put them together. I strive to mix vintage and thrifted pieces with contemporary brands to create unique but wearable looks. Sometimes I write about a killer new beauty product because I refuse to keep my non-fashion-related discoveries from you.
What I love about style and clothing is that it has the ability to completely transform my mood. The right outfit can give me confidence and courage when I’m feeling unsure or insecure. What I love about vintage and thrifted clothing is the history and one-of-a-kind nature of each piece, and the sustainability of the industry. I’m no stranger to fast fashion (although I’m getting better), and I realize that slow fashion is sometimes unaffordable for many, but I think we can all strive to find a happy medium.
I have a hard time pinning down exactly what my personal style is, because it changes all too often, depending on the day, my mood, and where I’m going in said outfit. All I know is that I love clothing, and the joy I get when I’ve found the right combination of unexpected pieces to create a unique and surprising outfit is monumental. And this level of happiness is only surpassed when I get a message from one of you saying you’ve been inspired by something I’ve worn. Seriously. I read them all and cherish them deeply!
Oh, and the pizza part is just because I f*cking love pizza. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. I appreciate you!
