It’s no secret that linen is having a major moment this season. And rightfully so—linen is totally the summer fabric of summer. It’s light, airy, and super breathable. Perfect for looking chic during those long sweltering summer afternoons.
The one downside of linen? It gets so wrinkled s0 fast. I asked you on Instagram stories if you had any secrets for keeping linen wrinkle-free when you’re on the go. And here are the tips I received:
- Try ironing with starch. Racked recommends ironing linen while it’s still damp, and adding starch for a crisper look if desired.
- Bring a mini spray bottle with you and give your outfit a spritz. Then smooth with your hands as the fabric dries.
- Try a portable steamer.
- Last but not least, just embrace that wrinkle life, girl!
I wore this sweet little linen top from Reformation during an upstate weekend trip earlier this month. Since linen has such a unique texture, it mixes really nicely with opposing textures like denim or silk. The smooth texture of these flower print trousers balance well with the rawness of the linen fabric. I added some darling feminine accessories: these vintage-inspired woven heels, a sweet 60s mini bag, and a cornflower blue hair scarf.
Scroll down to check out my favorite linen pieces this season. I included a bunch of sale stuff too!
