Shop Small Holiday Gift Guide

Channeling my inner 70s Charlie's Angel

Is anyone else slightly worried that it’s December and I haven’t even pulled my heavy winter coats out of storage yet? Yeahhhh. This can’t be good.

Anyways, last week I promised you a Shop Small Gift Guide, and I’m here to deliver! I’m also including a super fun shoot I did with Queens-based photographer, Carey MacArthur. Carey and I met on the Internet and had the most fun shooting together. She is the embodiment of feminine badassery and positivity, and has this intangible quality that makes you feel completely at ease in her presence. Pssst: she also shoots weddings and portraits.

In this outfit post I’m wearing a combination of pieces from both small business and large retailers (as I do with most of my outfits). So please remember, I’m not asking you to shop small everywhere all the time, that would be ridiculous. But if you just make a teensie tiny effort when you can, it goes a long way.

Now, for some of my current favorite small businesses. Happy shopping my fronds! View this post on desktop or tablet for image carousels. Sorry, they’re not mobile optimized :o(

The styling of this shoot is so good!! I find myself gravitating more towards vintage and thrift as it’s usually more in my price point and I feel like it pulls some of my spending out of the fast fashion abyss.

Thank you so much Alexandra! I totally agree— thrifting and shopping vintage is a great way to help balance out any fast fashion buys. We’re only human and sometimes those FF finds are too tempting!!
