Welcome to my third installment of holiday outfit styling featuring pieces from Omnia Vintage! You can read Part I here, and Part II here.
You guys know I embrace any excuse to wear my pajamas out on the town. I’ve even written about it before, more than once (here and here). You know those sleepy Sunday mornings where you shuffle to the corner coffee shop with your boo, and bask in the stillness of the city before it wakes up? Haha yeah, me neither. Real life: I begrudgingly wake up at 11am and croak for my husband to bring me coffee before I can bear to open my eyes or form sentences. So if you’re like me, you’re doing your romantic coffee outing closer to noon, with the rest of “the city that sleeps in.”
But there’s nothing like a crisp Christmas morning pajama coffee run. You’re still kinda sleepy and little disoriented, cuz you’re back at your parents’ place in your childhood bedroom. Which is altogether familiar but also totally different because your parents have since turned it into the guest room/home gym. You leash up the family dog (because now that you’re in the suburbs you’re suddenly a dog person) and hit the road.
Personal holiday memories aside, let’s talk about this incredible quilted onesie from Omnia Vintage. When I first found this piece in their showroom my face looked like this 😱. It’s completely weird and wacky and wonderful and exactly the kind of piece that makes you remember why you fell in love with vintage in the first place. It even has one pocket (yep, just one). I paired the onesie with 70s-inspired accessories to keep the piece from gearing too 80’s mall rat.
It’s the perfect piece for snowy winter mornings, midday coffee treks, Netflix marathons, or for covering up the fact that you’ve indulged in too many winter sweets (it me). Do you have any Christmas morning traditions? Do they involve staying in your pajamas all day? Because truthfully, those are the best kind of traditions.
