Outfit Rut: Wear It Backwards

Guess how many things I'm wearing backwards in this outfit?

Flip It And Reverse It

I know you know the feeling: you have a closet full clothes but nothing to wear. This happens to me at least once a month. Whenever I get into an outfit rut, my favorite way to turn things around is to literally turn things around. You’d be surprised how many of your clothing items look awesome worn backwards. This trick works best with sweaters, blouses, and dresses. I don’t recommend trying it with pants, unless you’re really into the Kris Kross look. (I mean, JNCO did say they are planning a comeback.) Take a low cut dress and turn it into a plunging V back dress! Or try flipping a cardigan around and buttoning it only halfway up, like I’ve done here. I also wear my necklaces backwards when I’m wearing something with a low back.

I am mad for plaid during the colder months, and buffalo plaid is probably my numero uno. It’s a little bit school girl, a little bit western, and makes for absolutely killer outerwear. I mean, just look at this Pendleton beaut! Scroll down to see some of the buffalo plaid pieces on my radar.

Could you save some awesome for the rest of us?! This outfit is tops!

I don’t use the turn-around trick often but this is inspiring me to give my closet a second look!
